Price: $90/pax Date: - Time: - Duration: - Location: - 刺し子 Sashiko is a form of Japanese folk embroidery used for both decorative and reinforcement purposes. The Japanese word Sashiko means "little stabs" and refers to the small repetitive stitches used in the needlework. Join us with Mai Textile Studio afternoon of stitching and discussion on the history and techniques of Sashiko!
In this workshop you will be stitching a pocket, ~15cm x 20cm, for a reusable bag. You will also bring back with you supplies used specifically for Sashiko to get your next project started. Your Sashiko pack would include: -Sashiko Threads, - A pair of Sashiko needles - Thimble - Ruler -Heat Erasable Pen
